For mullions, I utilized multiple stock length sizes for the optimizer, from which I reduced the actual order to account for minimum runs of metal.

I adjusted with Optimumcut-1D Professional accordingly after the order was finalized. For other shapes of shorter lengths, I opted for the single best solution from a choice of multiples at 1″ increments (Stock Optimizer Function) over the range available from the extruder and that would fit our shop conditions.
