CAD Image Editing .DWG & .DXF

Optimumcut-1D v3 Product Development

Now that Optimumcut-1D has full support for embedded DWG and DXF images, a common usage scenario is to want to edit the embedded .DWG or .DXF image. Right clicking on the image will display a context menu allowing the image to be viewed or edited in your default editor for that file type.  For example AutoCAD ® (Full or LITE) or BricsCAD ® (Classic) .DWG and .DXF format drawings.

When an image is being viewed / edited by an external editor, Optimumcut-1D watches the file for any updates made by the 3rd party application.  (For example AutoCAD ® DWG versions 13, 14, 2000, 2004, 2007 & 2010 and DXF) If an update to the file is detected, for example a width or height is changed Optimumcut-1D will prompt to update its copy of the file with the updated version and all associated data.
